Old Hundred

Garden Railroad

In 2005, I started building a model railroad in the space alongside our house. The last of the trackwork was completed in the spring of 2011. The effort continues now by adding trees and other vegetation as well as buildings and scenery.

ATSF 3751

No. 3751 is a 4-8-4 Northern type built for the Santa Fe Railroad. She originally served in New Mexico but ended her commercial career on the Los Angeles to San Diego run in 1953. This was the last steam run to San Diego by the AT&SF.
01Jun2008 Engine No. 3751 returned to San Diego. This is the first passenger service between Los Angeles and San Diego headed by a steam locomotive in almost 55 years!
